Now a days many people are talking about EPIGENETICS and there seems to be some confusion in understanding what is exactly Epigenetics . So I thought of doing this blog.. The epigenetics is seen in many ways - simple and complicated explanations are there. The very basis understanding will be that the DNA is same but Outcomes are different. So if we analyze genetic structure of skin cell and compare it to liver or kidney cell, the DNA will be same in both cells from same person. The DNA IS EXACTLY IDENTICAL- WITH NO DIFFERENCE , But the liver or kidney cell does not look like skin cell. There are distinct features in each organ cell and so the pathologist can identify them as coming form skin or liver or kidney. THIS CHANGE IN APPEARANCE IS EPIGENETICS.
Now there are other ways and examples of epigenetics that we can see without having knowledge of DNA and genetic. The identical twins have IDENTICAL DNA . But their lives are not exact same - they are different. THIS IS ALSO DUE TO EPIGENETICS.
The environment changes our life and in spite of having same - unchanged genes -DNA ,the outcomes are not the same. Gene mutation in a gene called AAT - Alpha 1 Antitrypsin can lead to lung disease and liver disease. One can develop EMPHYSEMA or Liver damage . SO who gets what is to some extent dependent upon behavior or external circumstances -this is also epigenetics.
So, I feel that the epigenetics depneds upon OUR KARMAS . If I smoke - my KRIYAMAN KARMA - I get result of getting EMPHYSEMA. I was prone to having lung damage based on my SANCHIT AND PRARBDH KARMA ,but I can BLOCK the effects by not smoking or can allow it to come to fruition by smoking. This so called epigenetics is done through KARMIC ACTION of smoking.
Not everyone who smokes gets Lung cancer ,some get it. This is KARMIC CHANGE or epigenetics.
